Down home cooking at it's best! If you want the genuine Southern cooking experience, this is as good a place to find it. Their hot dogs and burgers really hit the spot, and be sure to add some of their delicious ice cream to your order. The fries are too thick and greasy, and the fish tastes like it's been frozen for years, but (apparently) that's part of the charm. Stick to the hot dogs and you won't be disappointed.

Boyfriend and I had the Classic Club sandwich. Chef gave us mash potatoes and gravy free because they were closing and didn't want to toss it. Both items were very tasty!

Alright. I'm scared to give this place a so so review because I know its been around forever. With that said, I want to be honest. Came here on a recommendation from a friend who said years ago they had the best chicken livers around. One of the friends I was with was incredibly excited about livers so we went. I have never tried chicken liver before so I was all about the challenge. We both ordered the small meal which came with 2 sides. My other friend got the meat loaf special. She loved it. When we asked our waitress about sides she definitely recommended staying away from a few of them hinting that they were much better on the weekend. Slightly a turn off, but I appreciated the honesty. The chicken liver portion was HUGE! Deep fried and crispy on the outside. I doused all but my first bite in Texas Pete because I quickly discovered that chicken livers are not my thing. 😂 I wanted to love them because they looked so good... But nope. Fried okra was ok. Potato salad was blander then bland. Overall fun experience but I would not go back on my own accord.
